This policy explains what information Dr SunShield collects when you contact us or use this website, why we collect it, who we share it with, how long we keep it and what choices you have.
Dr SunShield is a family-run window tinting company founded in 2023 and based in Bay Square, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. We supply and install window film and switchable Smart Film for vehicles, homes and villas, offices and commercial buildings, and yachts.
We are committed to handling your personal information carefully and to being clear about what we do with it. This policy sets out how we collect, use, share and protect that information.
In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" mean Dr SunShield. "You" and "your" mean the person whose information is being handled. "Personal information" means any information that identifies you, or could be used to identify you, either on its own or when combined with other information we hold.
This policy applies whenever you interact with us, including when you:
We only ask for information we actually need in order to answer your enquiry, prepare a quotation or carry out an installation. We do not collect more than that.
Your name, phone number, WhatsApp number and email address, so that we can reply to you and arrange the work.
The emirate, area or address where the work would take place. We need this to confirm whether we can cover your location, to quote accurately and to arrive at the right place on the day.
Information about the vehicle, property or vessel involved, the service you are interested in, and what you are trying to address, for example heat, glare, privacy or appearance. This may include the make and model of a vehicle, or the number and size of windows at a property.
Any images or files you choose to send us, for example photographs of the glass or vehicle to help us prepare a quotation.
The content of the messages, calls and emails between you and us, and our records of the work discussed or carried out.
Information collected automatically when you browse the site, such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you visit, how long you spend on them and the site or search that referred you.
We do not ask for or knowingly collect sensitive personal information such as health data, biometric data, religious or political views, or criminal records. Please do not send us this kind of information.
We collect information in two ways.
This is most of the information we hold. You provide it when you fill in a form on our website, call us, message us on WhatsApp, email us at [email protected], contact us on social media, or speak to our team during a visit.
When you browse our website, some technical information is collected automatically through cookies and similar technologies, as described in section 9.
You are not obliged to give us any personal information. If you choose not to, we may not be able to answer your enquiry, prepare a quotation or carry out an installation.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
We only handle your personal information where we have a proper reason to do so. Depending on the situation, that reason will be one of the following:
Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time using the contact details in section 17. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything we did before you withdrew it.
We are a small family-run team, and your information stays within that team wherever possible. We may share it in the following limited situations.
Companies that help us run the business, such as our website host, email provider, form or enquiry tools and analytics provider. They may only use the information to provide that service to us, and not for their own purposes.
Where a film supplier or manufacturer needs limited details in order to process a product warranty claim on your behalf.
Our accountants, insurers or legal advisers, where they need the information in order to advise us.
Where we are required to share information by law, by a court, or by a competent authority, or where sharing is necessary to establish, exercise or defend a legal claim.
If the business is sold or transferred, your information may transfer with it. Any recipient would continue to handle it in line with this policy unless and until you are told otherwise.
Some of the service providers we rely on, such as website hosting, email and analytics, may store or process information on servers located outside the United Arab Emirates.
Where that happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure your information continues to be protected to an appropriate standard, and that any transfer is carried out in line with applicable data protection requirements.
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They help the site function properly, remember your preferences, and help us understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it.
We use cookies to keep the website working as intended and, where applicable, to measure how it is used.
Most browsers allow you to refuse or delete cookies through their settings. Blocking cookies may affect how parts of this website work.
If we send you marketing messages, we will always give you a way to stop receiving them. You can opt out at any time by replying to the message, or by contacting us using the details in section 17.
If you opt out of marketing, we will still contact you where necessary about work you have booked or completed, about aftercare or a warranty matter, or in response to an enquiry you have made.
We keep your personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy.
When we no longer need your information, we delete it or take steps to anonymise it so that you can no longer be identified from it.
We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect your information against loss, misuse, alteration and unauthorised access. Because we are a small team, access to customer information is limited to the people who need it in order to do the work.
No method of transmitting or storing information is completely secure. While we take reasonable measures to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security. The security of your information also depends in part on the device you use to contact us and on keeping your own accounts secure.
Subject to applicable law, you may have the following rights in relation to the personal information we hold about you.

Our services are directed at adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
Our website may link to other websites, such as our social media profiles or review listings. This policy does not cover those websites. We are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices, and we recommend reading their own policies before providing them with any information.
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in how we work, in the services we offer, or in the law. We reserve the right to update, add to or remove parts of this policy at any time, and we encourage you to review this page periodically.
